Welcome all. I am trying this as an alternative to the e-mails I send out. I will be trying to post on here weekly with new music links, news, updates, and things God is laying on my heart during the week. Most of us have had a trying week and that is no secret. I truly believe God has something amazing that we are so close to experiencing, and this is evident by the extremely harsh battles we have all been facing and fighting. Sometimes it feels like we face adversity alone, but nothing could be further from the truth. I believe God uses these times to draw us closer to Him. God is faithful to experience this right along with us, and shows us how when we rely on Him, how awesome His love, power, and strength really is.
Wait, God has already experienced all the hardships life has to offer...through His Son, Jesus Christ. Not to mention God is omniscient and omnipresent; He knows all and is everywhere. Again, He is right there with us and knows exactly what we are feeling and going through. So, it's all going to be okay right? Rainbows, Unicorns and Lollipops. Not exactly. Nothing worth doing is easy, Diamonds are formed under pressure, even gold needs to be refined; which means, we all have trials and hard times to go through. God wants us to learn from them for our sake, and the sake of others going through the same things. How can I comfort someone who has financial crisis and is at the end of their rope? I can't without the knowledge and experience of those same problems. God continues to show His faithfulness in this and other areas of my life time and time again. I have never gone hungry. I have never needed something and not had it. And now I have the faith in Christ not just through his Word, but the experience of watching Him work miraculously.
Romans 3:3-4
3 What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God's faithfulness? 4 Not at all!
Now, I bet you are all wondering what this has to do with worship. God has laid a song on my heart through the last week and even more today. You're Love Never Fails by Jesus Culture. Please, please, PLEASE go watch this video. I can't begin to tell you how this song ministers to my heart. I not only enjoy the song, but watching Chris and Kim give everything they have and worship God with reckless abandon. This is my desire. They have achieved a direct line into the Spirit and Presence of God. I believe this is the passion and truth in this song that allows God's Presence to envelope everyone who hears this. We will be learning this song within the next week, so there is another good reason to watch. :)
Lamentations 3:22-23
22 Because of the LORD's great love
we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. 23 They are new
every morning; great is your faithfulness.
This is my prayer this week:
God, take everything from me, my burdens, cares, thoughts and agendas. I want to learn what You want me to, and be on the path to becoming the man of God You envision me to be. Help me not to stand in the way of Your will. Show me Your will, and help me be a shining example of Your Love, Mercy, Hope and Grace. Thank You for all You have done for me and brought me through. You are the Only One who deserves my praise and adoration. Thank You Jesus for Your Love, in Your Name, AMEN!
